    Farm records and inventory

Essential Records Every Farming Business Should Maintain

A short list of farm records worth keeping every day: identity, events, production, stock, and who entered them.

    Identity

Name the farm, the enterprises it runs, and the housing or fields in use. Without that, later events have nowhere to sit.

    Daily production

Egg collection by grade, milk where relevant, and crop lists the farm actually grows. These are the numbers managers ask for first.

    Animal events

Births, weights, sales, mortality, and treatments. They explain changes in the flock or herd that production numbers alone cannot.

    Stock and people

Feed and medicine on the same farm, plus named staff logins. A record nobody can find after a handover is not a record.

    All resources

Put these records in one workspace.
